A personal assistant for video
The OAton is your personal video assistant as it is capable of capturing beautiful aerial images with ease and distraction without any qualifications or proven experience being required. The OAton is a sporty and intelligent quadcopter capable of flying almost autonomously with an automatic take-off function and simple and intuitive directional control. Simply point the OAton at the subject being filmed and it will be the Olens in the sky capturing interesting moments and views. Press a button and the OAton will quickly return to its takeoff location and land there automatically.

Three Modes, a mode for each of your needs
Photograph, fly or perform aerial acrobatics, OAton has a mode that will suit you.

Movie Fashion
The OAton excels in aerial photography, whether in video recording or photography. In this mode, it will be easy to drive and control with virtually no effort on your part. No prior experience with flying or radio control is necessary.

Sports Fashion
If you want to learn to fly and reach a higher level of piloting, Sport mode unlocks the throttle control for faster, more athletic flight. The OAton's 6-axis gyroscope will allow you to learn and explore easily while ensuring safety thanks to the "Air Brake" trigger functions and the "Return to Home" button. Press the other trigger to perform flips and thus appear like an experienced pilot.

ModelExpert
Expert Mode is for the most experienced pilots who really enjoy flying. This mode unlocks all of the OAton's abilities to make it even more efficient. It will be in its element for acrobatic flying but always maintaining safety thanks to the “Air Brake” and “Return to Home” functions. The “Air Brake” function, once activated, stops completely there, keeping it hovering, giving you time to catch your breath and plan your next flight route.

DUAL GPS MODE
The OAton uses a sophisticated dual GPS mode to enable it to be able to return home, hover, and adjust its altitude and radius limits.

RETURN HOME
The OAton's flight characteristics allow you to focus solely on recording video of your subject. By pressing a button, the OAton will return to its takeoff location to land there autonomously and safely. The OAton also activates the “Return Home” function when its battery is discharged or if it flies beyond a point of no return (not enough battery to complete the return journey).

FLIPS AND ROLLS
In Sport mode, the OAton makes you look like a pro with flips and rolls programmed and triggered when you press a button.

AIR BRAKES
In Sport or Expert modes, the “Air Brakes” function stops the OAton and puts it in hover to give you the opportunity to catch your breath and plan your next action.

CAPTURE AMAZING IMAGES
Lightweight and robust, the OAton has performance that will allow you to capture moving subjects in Film and Sport modes.

GREAT VISIBILITY
The colorful and bright bubble combined with the high intensity LEDs allow this place to be seen clearly during the day or at night.

OATON STATUS BAR
The OAton status bar uses 4 LEDs to inform you that all systems are ready for takeoff. This status bar is easy to understand at first glance; you won't need to know any complicated instructions to understand its meaning.

ID BATTERY TECHNOLOGY
Exclusive! Traxxas iD batteries are compatible with the EZ-Peak line of easy-to-use chargers. With the Traxxas iD battery, plug it into the charger and start charging. Charge your battery up to 8 amps and cut your charging time in half.

TRAXXAS FLIGHT LINK
The “Flight Link” application allows you to use your smartphone to configure the OAton's flight settings such as altitude or radius limit, exponentials, etc. Future updates will concern an FPV mode and control of the 3-axis gimbal via the application.

APP SUPPORT
The OAton is equipped with Open Source software compatible with certain applications such as Mission Planner
(www.dronecode.org) to allow you to observe your flights on satellite maps.

VIRTUAL VIEWING MISSIONS
OAton flight recordings can be converted and opened in "Google Earth" to create a virtual 3D, first-person view of your flights.

3-AXIS GIDAL WITH FPV (available early 2016)
The OAton can be equipped with a brand new 3-axis gimbal to improve video stability with the possibility of FPV framing. This 3-axis gimbal can be controlled by your smartphone with the “Traxxas Flight Link” application.

CUSTOMIZATION TRAXXAS

Protected GPS
The GPS system is cleverly integrated into a roll bar to protect it from radio interference and to protect it from physical damage.
