LiPo batteries require a very specific charging procedure which can result in a risk of fire if the instructions are not followed.
A short circuit or significant overload of a Lithium Polymer Lipo battery will cause damage to its internal elements.

LiPo batteries should NEVER be discharged below 3 volts per cell or they will be damaged and NEVER be fully discharged. The user should be sure to stop using it as soon as he sees a drop in power.
Discharging the battery below 3 volts invalidates the warranty.
